On 10 April, the handover ceremony for “Sekolah Angkat Madani” was held at Kolej Vokasional Kuala Kangsar, Perak, and was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Jeffri Salim Davidson, Member of the Governance Council of Yayasan Sime Darby and Group Chief Executive Officer of Sime Darby Berhad.

The event began with the arrival of distinguished guests from Sime Motors and Inokom Corporation, who were warmly welcomed and invited to sign the school’s guest book. They were then treated to breakfast at the lounge, prepared and served by the school’s own culinary students, showcasing the institution’s talent and hospitality.

Following this, guests, staff, and students gathered at the school hall to formally welcome YBhg. Dato’ Jeffri. The ceremony commenced with a speech by the school’s headmistress, followed by a speech from YBhg. Dato’ Jeffri himself. The official launching was marked by the screening of a video montage highlighting the facilities sponsored by Yayasan Sime Darby and concluded with a group photography session to commemorate the occasion.

After the ceremony, the guests were taken on a guided tour by bus to view the newly transformed classrooms, which had been equipped with modern facilities and tools provided through Sime Darby’s contributions. Teachers offered detailed explanations on how these resources are being utilized in daily lessons and how they enhance the students’ learning experience, underscoring the tangible impact of the sponsorship.

The day concluded with a delightful lunch at the school restaurant, once again prepared and served by the culinary students. The menu featured a variety of traditional Malay dishes complemented by an assortment of desserts, leaving a lasting impression on the guests and providing a fitting finale for a meaningful and memorable day.
