MALAYSIA, October 15, 2025 – Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) today officially announced the start of sales for the locally-assembled Hyundai STARIA, marking a major milestone in the brand’s journey in Malaysia.

Following HMY’s launch in July, customers nationwide can now experience the STARIA, the first locally-produced model under HMY alongside its assembly partner Inokom, Sime Motors’ assembly facility in Kulim, Kedah. This achievement reflects Hyundai’s promise to deliver vehicles of uncompromising global quality while investing directly into Malaysia’s industrial and economic development.

“The commencement of local production for the Hyundai STARIA is more than just a production achievement. It represents Hyundai’s confidence in Malaysia as an important market and a growing hub for future assembly,” said Mr Eric Lee, President, Hyundai Motor Malaysia.
